Jason Robertson had two goals and two assists to lead the red-hot Dallas Stars to a 7-2 win over the visiting Edmonton Oilers on Thursday.
Dallas is on a 14-game (13-0-1) points streak, and one game away from matching the longest points streak in franchise history.
Jake Oettinger stopped 30 of 32 shots to earn his 27th win in 42 starts this season.
Wyatt Johnston had a goal and two assists, and Miro Heiskanen had three assists. Jamie Benn scored two goals, while Sam Steel and Matt Duchene each recorded a goal and an assist.
Robertson's four points matched his single-game career high. Robertson is the Stars' season leader in goals (36) and points (78).
The Stars were 2-for-4 on the power play, and have scored at least one power-play goal in each of their last 11 games.
The loss snapped a two-game winning streak for the Oilers, who are 4-7-0 in their last 11 games.
Evan Bouchard and Jason Dickinson scored Edmonton's goals. Tristan Jarry stopped only 20 of 27 Dallas shots in a rough night for the veteran goalie.
The rout began just 1:23 into the first period. Heiskanen's shot ricocheted off the boards and in front of the net, and Benn backhanded the loose puck past Jarry.
At 13:09 of the first period, Duchene sent a terrific pass in front to Steel for the tip-in. Just over two minutes later, Robertson's shot deflected off both the goalpost and Jarry before the puck trickled over the line.
Dallas continued to pour it on with two rapid-fire goals in the second period. Johnston recorded his league-leading 22nd power-play goal at the 5:43 mark, and Robertson quickly followed up with an even-strength goal only 32 seconds later.
Now trailing 5-0, the Oilers scored twice before the second intermission. Bouchard put Edmonton on the board 7:53 into the second period, and Dickinson then tipped in a Mattias Ekholm point shot at the 11:59 mark.
Any hope of an Oilers comeback was erased by Benn's power-play goal 1:32 into the third period. Duchene added one more tally with 63 seconds left in the third period.
